Dallas, Texas  June 1, 2021    Continental Battery Co adds a key position the leadership team, welcoming Grant Carona as Senior Vice President of Supply Chain. Grant will be on the Executive Team and report directly to the CEO, Eric Royse.

Grant’s responsibilities encompass the supply side of the business, which includes procurement; supplier negotiations and agreements; demand planning and forecasting; product development, management, and data; inventory governance; and logistics.

“Joining Continental Battery Co is exciting and I look forward to contributing to an already well-known and respected company. The idea of helping Continental to grow and excel even more is very motivating,” Grant Carona said.

Grant’s role will include building and organizing departments and processes that ensure sustainable future growth and to support and promote the company’s newly-executed campaign of “Leading the Charge” within the battery industry.

“We are confident that Grant's experience and leadership will drive enhanced improvement and efficiency creation for Continental Battery,” noted Eric Royse, CEO, Continental Battery Co. “We feel fortunate to have him on board,” he added.

With a proven track record of success in distribution and manufacturing in various roles including, product management, sourcing, operations, and management, Grant began his education at the US Naval Academy, where he competed in Division I tennis. After graduating and honoring his service agreement, he came back to Dallas to complete his Master’s Degree at SMU Cox School of Business.

Grant’s working career started at Interstate Batteries, serving as Sr. Manager in charge of powersport product management and sourcing. He later moved to RSR in charge of global procurement. He acquired a solid working knowledge of both sides of the battery and scrap markets. Most recently, Grant has been Vice President of Global Supply Chain at K&N Engineering for the past two and a half years.
